Due to the Coronavirus Crisis, the ASLC building is mostly closed but the church is open. We have small outdoor (physically distant, with masks) services on Thursday nights at 6 PM. ASLC leaders are monitoring the COVID situation and are taking seriously the need to protect our neighbors, limiting building access and use, accordingly.
We welcome you to participate/view our on-line worship services here: (link is in Facebook feed and on calendar). Use the "Contact Us" link to join the email list to find out about Zoom gatherings, discussions, and events.
We are a multi-ethnic, multiracial, and multi-generational congregation. We journey together in faith as a family. We pray together, we laugh together, and we do God's work in the world together. Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey of faith, we welcome you. We are a Reconciling in Christ community (LGBTQIA+ fully welcome, included, and equal with no partiality).
We believe in a Living God; that Jesus still has something to say to the world; that the Spirit moves in us and through us.
We value the love of God, the example of Jesus, and the call of the Spirit to help make the world a better place. We value prayer, empowerment through the grace of God, living discipleship, inclusiveness in the kingdom, authentic relationships, the goodness of God, release of spiritual gifts, creativity and the arts, team leadership, and the reality that God is alive in the world!
