It’s Our Story – New Beginnings
With hope and trust in God’s grace, we step together into this season of New Beginnings.
As a community of faith, we look forward to growing spiritually, bearing witness to the Gospel in our neighborhood, and living more fully as the Body of Christ. Together, we seek to open our doors wider, make more room for all, and extend Christ’s table with radical welcome.
Come, just as you are! Be Who you are at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.
This journey did not happen overnight. As a congregation, together with our pastor, we waited in prayerful discernment. We listened, prayed, hoped, questioned, and trusted the movement of the Holy Spirit along the way. Perhaps that is why one participant joyfully described this new chapter as “a match made in heaven.” For something sacred to unfold, sometimes we must wait until it feels right, until it becomes clear that God has brought people together for a purpose greater than themselves. To our Bishop Gohl’s sermon and the question, he posed, a resounding “Yes’ has been our answer to God’s calling. And so, we move forward together with faith and expectancy.
Like the early church waiting for the coming of the Holy Spirit, we also stand at the threshold of something new—ready to be renewed, energized, and transformed into a growing community of believers. We pray that the Spirit will continue to guide us, challenge us, and breathe fresh life into our shared ministry.
We believe God has brought us together for a reason, and we ask for the courage and wisdom to walk faithfully in that calling. We pray that we may be good stewards of God’s abundance entrusted upon, fruitful in ministry, generous in love, and grounded in grace.
May God bless this shared journey, and may we remain attentive to the guidance and movement of the Holy Spirit in all that lies ahead.
This is our story.
These are our new beginnings.
